Mooloolaba New Year Celebrations



Mooloolaba New Years Eve is a fun, family friendly celebration with national music acts, street performers and buskers, carnival rides and food stalls plus two spectacular fireworks shows at 8.30pm and midnight. The event is an alcohol, glass and drug free event in a safe, patrolled, fenced event zone. The gates open at 16:00 and the event concludes at 0030.

Aussie World Christmas



Yes, it's Christmas Wonderland time and this year there's two nights of special events on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 December at Aussie World. 

From 6:00pm till 9:30pm, wander through Santa's village where you can meet Santa and the elves making toys in the workshop. Enjoy rides, attractions and festive fun with roving Carollers, Christmas entertainers and loads more action not to be missed. It's all included in the entry price which also gives you Unlimited Rides! 

Santa will also be giving out "surprises" for little visitors to celebrate the season. If you've never visited Aussie World at night this is the best time of the year to do it. There's so much Christmas cheer and snow under the stars you'll never want to leave.

Buderim Expo 2015

This year, the last weekend in November can truly claim to be Buderim's Mega weekend. There will be a plethora of activities to enjoy, with nearly 40 community groups holding displays and providing events for locals and visitors. 

The venue is the recently-opened beautiful Buderim Village Park, where super-size marquees will feature displays, activities and entertainment – that's fun for the public while promoting all the things these groups do within our community. 

Expo will coincide with the famous Christmas Fair - making it a truly mega weekend for Buderim.

Merida Road Epic

The first of it's kind to take full advantage of the extensively scenic views and terrain of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, the Merida Road Epic will take riders through some of the areas most iconic townships, lookouts and locations. The 86.5 kilometre course will set off from the Maleny Showgrounds, then take riders on a tour through the townships of Witta, Conondale, Kenilworth, Mapleton, Flaxton and Montville before heading back in for the course finish line at the Maleny Showgrounds once more. 

The Family Ride and Run course takes in some of Maleny's most iconic views of scenic beauty, and with the undulating terrain, makes a great course to share with the family. Added peace of mind that the circuit is a closed and controlled even the smallest of riders and runners who can comfortably complete this distance can take part in this Scenic and Unique Active Family Friendly event!

Halloween FestEVIL is back this October at Aussie World!


Don't miss the Sunshine Coast's biggest Halloween event held over three extraordinary (29 - 31 October) nights. Aussie World's Halloween FestEvil is back again with MORE themed mazes, MORE entertainment, MORE frights and MORE nights.

Light The Night 2015

Brighten the lives of families affected by blood cancer. Help local families affected by blood cancer by joining the Leukaemia Foundation of QLD on an inspiring lantern lit walk along Cotton Tree on Friday 9th October.

Gather family, friends and work colleagues to light a special lantern:

The money you raise will help thousands of Australians through research and personalised support and your presence will lift the hearts of our nation as we walk in hope for a future free of blood cancer.

There is great biking along Alexandra Headland foreshore through to Mooloolaba spit or along to Cotton Tree and Maroochydore River park. Formed bikeways are safe and flat. We have bike hire available for guests and passers by.

Trans Tasman Gubbi Gubbi Waka Ama 2015



The Trans Tasman Gubbi Gubbi Waka Ama Championships is the only Australian outrigger canoe championship series exclusively for junior paddlers. This main event in the Australian and Oceania Junior Outrigging calendar attracts hundreds of junior paddlers aged between 10 and 19 years of age from Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Islands. Team, double, and individual races will be held from 26 - 28 September on the Sunshine Coast's Lake Kawana.

Ironman Sunshine Coast 2015



IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast provides a fitting warm up for those athletes heading over to Kona to take on the IRONMAN World Championship in October.

Competitors will take in the best that Mooloolaba has to offer, starting with a swim off the surf beach followed by a flat and fast bike course. The run will tie up the day’s exciting events with a two lap course around Mooloolaba’s Esplanade lined with spectators. Discover more about the course.

2015 Sunshine Coast Real Food Festival


The Real Food Festival (12 - 13 September 2015) is an annual celebration of good food that Sunshine Coast food producers, manufacturers, retailers and restaurants have to offer. Held at the Maleny Showgrounds, this festival is for lovers of good food, who want to know how to nourish themselves and their family and where you can follow the food supply chain from paddock to plate - from farmers through to passionate retailers and celebrated chefs. 

They're all coming together for a weekend of connection and conversation about what real food means to each of us. With over 120 exhibits, cooking demonstrations, discussions, hands-on and other activities throughout the weekend, the Festival has something for everyone and is a great way for visitors and locals to support the best of Sunshine Coast regional food. Great February Specials at Alexandria Apartments
