Caloundra Triathlone



Gatorade Queensland Triathon Series is back at the Caloundra Power Boat Club for what is known as the 'series highlight' round! It's a great excuse to head up to the Sunshine Coast and make a weekend out of it. With a beautiful canal swim and finishing in front of the Caloundra Power Boat Club, then continuing on with celebrations afterwards, it's a great way to have fun & exercise with your mates.

Queensland OzTag Junior State Cup

Want to see the best in the State? Over 160 teams competing. Over 2,200 junior Queensland athletes battling it out. 1 location. 1 crown. 2016 Qld Oztag Junior State Cup! Representing the best in Queensland, the Queensland Oztag Junior State Cup is gearing up again as the pinnacle of representative Junior Oztag in the state. 

The Sunshine Coast Stadium will play host to over 160 teams, representing boys and girls divisions across u10 - u15, all battling it out to be crowned the 2016 Junior State Cup Champions. With nearly 40 schools converging on the Sunshine Coast, the 2016 Qld Oztag Junior State Cup is set to exceed last year's attendance, expecting to attract over 8,000 total participants including players, support staff and spectators alike; travelling from locations such as Far North Qld and Tweed Coast.

Ginger Flower and Food Festival



Celebrating its 20th anniversary 22 - 24 January 2016, the Ginger Flower & Food Festival is set to mark this milestone occasion with an exciting line up of local kitchen masters and gardening experts.

As one of Australia’s premier annual events, the Ginger Flower & Food Festival has stood the test of time on the Sunshine Coast, with guests returning year on year for this spectacular event.

With a promise to delight the senses, this year’s free event will welcome guests to The Ginger Factory, for three glorious days of fabulous flowers, delicious food and entertainment for all.

Set to be the biggest yet, this 20th annual event will host live cooking demonstrations and garden talks that explore the processes of planting, growing, harvesting and cooking with gingers.

Visitors will be treated to a visual feast of vibrant colour with a three metre high central floral display. The most exquisite range of ornamental Gingers and Heliconias will be for sale throughout the festival, with plant varieties suited to all garden sizes available. Exploration into The Ginger Factory gardens will bring visitors face to face with stunning natural delights that flourish in our subtropical climate.

An event to be enjoyed by the whole family, The Ginger Flower and Food Festival is an incredible celebration of all that is local to Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
